VICKY WALTON SHALLOW BOWL - possibly decorated by Quentin Bell.

Vicky Walton worked as Quentin Bells assistant in his pottery in the 1980s, producing shapes for him as well as decorating her own range of products to be sold in the shop at Charleston. This plate has her interlocked VW mark as well as an obscured FULHAM.
The decorating technique is sgraffito (scratched surface) infilled with oxide to give the dark outlines - this technique was used regularly by Quentin.
