This stunning screenprinted ‘Sanderlin’ cotton fabric was one of 5 designs commissioned from John Piper as part of the Arthur Sanderson and Company centenary celebrations in 1960, and manufactured from 1962. Using 19 colours, far more than conventional screenprints on paper, the semi-abstract design was based on the architectural features of the city of Bath.
